Helping humans in need is something we are passionate about at Biogrow, and we take every opportunity we can to assist the people living around us. But we also care deeply about the needs of those who can’t ask for help, such as dogs. India has a huge street dog population, with many dogs struggling to survive here on a daily basis. And, with much of the Biogrow family – both here and overseas – being ardent dog-lovers, such suffering is hard to bear witness to. But while we may not be able to improve the lives of many such animals, we do our best to help as many as we can, as often as we can.
Along with providing food, shelter and veterinary care (including sterilization to prevent unwanted litters and overpopulation) to dogs in the vicinity of our production sites, we also send our cocopeat to a local charitable organization (Humane Animal Society) in Coimbatore, where it is used to provide bedding and a comfortable surface for their handicapped patients to move around on.
Business doesn’t just have to be about what you make, buy, or sell; at Biogrow, we make caring for our communities and its’ animals, our business too.
