As part of the Rougeline family, our parent company operates one of France’s largest heated greenhouses, distributing fruits and vegetables globally. Beginning life in 2015, Biogrow Substrates India grew from humble beginnings, with a small workforce in a little village in Tamil Nadu, South India. Fast forward to today, and we now have an expansive substrates manufacturing factory and a state-of-the art polyhouse in Karnataka, where growers can receive specialist training.
We have also extended our capabilities to encompass the production of all our own raw materials, further enhancing our abilities to maintain high standards of quality throughout every part of the substrate process, leaving nothing to chance. With a team of hundreds, we work day (and sometimes night) to deliver coconut substrates to our customers, and are proud to be shipping our products all over the world.

Cocopeat production begins with coco husks, the outer shell of coconuts, which are collected and soaked in water to soften the fibers. These husks are then processed to extract coco husk fiber, separating the long fibers from the finer pith material. The pith is dried, cleaned, and sieved to remove impurities, resulting in a fine, uniform material suitable for use in cocopeat substrates. Finally, the processed premium cocopeat is compressed into blocks or growbags for easy transport and use in agriculture.
